Learn more about the successful 2019 Senior Christmas campaign supported by Brazos Valley Council of Governments.

Senior Christmas 2019

2019 was another record breaking year for Senior Christmas. Thanks to the generous donations of time and treasures, we were able to provide gifts bags to over 1,000 seniors throughout the Brazos Valley. We received $11,000 in value of donated goods, and $9,000 in monetary funds, all used to directly support the gifts to our seniors.  So many lives were uplifted and brightened this Christmas through the Senior Christmas program!

This monumental effort could not have been accomplished without the help of our generous donors. Local churches sponsored collection events, businesses donated items and sponsored Angel Trees, and our own BVCOG employees gave so generously.

In addition to our regular gifting efforts, a permanent endowment fund was established to ensure the future sustainability of Senior Christmas. This fund is managed by the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley.
